Hearing people talking

At times when I am either busy, alone, or somehow aware...
I can hear people talking.. I don't actually hear words, just mumbleing, however I can tell the tone, the personality,and the thought process of the people I am physically near....
I can tell you who I think it is. I can tell you what mood they are in,(happy, sad, crying, laughing, partying, fighting etc.)
I am a grandmother of eight and mother of four adults..
I am a functioning healthy giving caring individual who does not have any symptoms of mental health imbalance,(according to American Physicians)

What is this phenom.?
How can I develope it??
Anyone else have this happen to them??
